Milan Men’s Fashion week: Ermanno Scervino

Ermanno Scervino’s 2010-2011 show was not only the closing show of fashion week, but also one of the more memorable. Scervino is celebratig the man and he’s style and ideas just proves him to be one of the better designers that are made in Italy. He gives us new views and ideas on mens fashion and manage to keep up with the signature Scervino style while bringing us new things and without ever becoming boring. The clothes on show was relaxed sportswear goes slightly preppy with a hince of scandinavian meets italian man. V-neck t-shirts, blazers and shorts was all layered for that effortless look and short rolled up shorts was teamed with tailored pieces and bare abs for the more sexy look. Double-breasted jackets, the man bag and cool boots was details that catched us. The boyfriend jeans has been taken back from the girls wardrobe and will now be seen on men. Ripped details and bleached to perfection, they are teamed with amazing blazers to create a nice balance. Colors are out this season and the whole show went in earthy shades and nuances. Army green, navy, beige, black, grey and white is the perfect way to make everything from the collection work together. Loved the fact that it was very wearable and the styling was as close to perfection as it could get. Scervino has proved that a collection doesn’t have to be eye-catching, crazy or filled with new innovative designs to be loved and sheered by the public. Simplicity, elegance, a little bit of street and perfect cuts is sometimes just the main ingredients for a great collection. Well done!
