Lately, I’ve had doubts about leather pieces, and have seriously considered to put away mine till these hysteric leather-mania calms down, but Max Azria’s Fall 2010 show just managed to convince me about the opposite. My negative feeling about leather pieces probably just comes from the fact that it’s so over-exposed at the moment and is seen exactly everywhere. Even though I get reminded of Celine’s black leather top/tee when I saw one of the pieces from of this collection, I still think that Max Azria do leather in such a refreshing way I can not resist it. The cut is clean, the silhouette is either very strong or very soft (nothing in between) and the overall feeling is very elegant. The camel-coloured leather dress which according to me is one of the high-lights, is elegant, classic and very stylish. The fact that Max Azria choose to go with minimalist in a luxurious way this fall will take some time for me to melt, but since the collection was made in such a perfect way, I’m sold.
