This kind of things is exactly what Von Furstenberg is trying to fight off. She have now been accused of copying a jacket design from Mercy Of Canada. They have already won the case against her and she is set to pay them an undisclosed sum and stop the selling of the jacket. “While this is an isolated incident for DVF, it is unfortunate that way too many others intentionally build business by stealing the work of other designers,” Von Furstenberg says.
