Alexander Wang’s fall 2009 collection is very dark with almost black pieces apart from a few touches of white and gray. Alexander used fur for the first time in his collections and the fact that Anna Wintour showed up is pretty hugh (she usually only attends Marc Jacobs and Proenza Schouler’s shows). My first reaction when I saw the line was that it was soo much black. I know it’s for fall and all, and I don’t want to use the word boring, because Wang’s clothes is everything but that, but it still felt a little to lined up for me. A whole collection with almost only black pieces. But the clothes felt strong and powerful at the same time so I do like it:
